What happens in the case of medical emergency?
Our staff is trained in first aid and C.P.R. We also carry a cell phone with us at times in order to call 911 in the event of an emergency. etc.....
Are you patient, compassionate and have good listening skills?
All of our staff at Seniors Solution have been carefully selected and possess all of these qualities and more. We are there for your loved one and that is our priority and nothing less. We assess each client as an individual and try to meet and tend to his or her needs to offer them a stress free outing.
If an appointment is delayed will I be charged extra?
We will wait until your loved one’s appointment is finished and then take them back to their home. We charge per hour with a two hour minimum. For example, if it is 2.5 hours, you will only pay for only 2.5 hours and so on.
Do you provide care for handicapped people or people with Alzheimer’s?
We provide services for seniors who need some extra help or when their loved ones are not always available due to work, family, etc. Many of our client s has Alzheimer’s and we alleviate some of the stress from their families by helping them with appointments and shopping trips. As long the senior is able to get in and out of their wheelchair, we do transport wheelchairs and walkers.
What if my parent is on medication that has certain side effects?
We meet with every client and their loved ones first in order to answer any medical questions. In this meeting we ask all of these questions and everything is documented and a contact information sheet is filled out and with us at all times.
Do you have any packages/gift cards I could purchase?
We have five packages for your convenience. You can purchase a block of hours this way there is no money exchanged between Seniors Solutions and your parent. This gives them the independence and the freedom to know that we are just a phone call away.
How far in advance do I need to book appointments?
As soon as you have an appointment scheduled, give us a call so we can book you right away. Sometimes things come up and you may need us with shorter notice, just give us a call.
Can you take my pet to the Vet or Pet Parlour?
Yes we can as we are pet friendly and we transport dogs and cats. Sorry, no tigers! When your pet is at the “Beauty Parlour”, this is an opportunity for us to take you shopping or any other errands that you might have.
Will you just drop off my parent and then leave?
We will come to their door and get your parent and then when we return, we escort them right to their door and make sure that their in safe and their doors are locked up.
Will you wait with my parent at the Doctor’s office?
Not only will we wait, with their/your permission, we will go into the doctor’s office with them and take notes to pass along to you as we often get overwhelmed and forget important information. This way nothing is missed and all information is written down accurately.
My parent lives with me, can you stay with them while I'm on vacation?
Absolutely. We can stay with your loved one while you are away enjoying your vacation knowing your loved one is being well taken care of.
My parent is lonely. Are you available for home visits?
Yes we can. We’re a ”companion service” and we understand that you can’t always be there because of other responsibilities that you have such as kids and work. At the end of the day, your mother/father will have something to share with you in that they did in their day.
